• What are the drawbacks of hypnotherapy? 

    Hypnotherapy is a safe procedure if performed by a trained professional in a controlled environment.
    Though very rare, it has some drawbacks such as false memories, headache, dizziness etc. which usually wear off in a short while.

    It also is not recommended for somebody who is on drugs.

  • What are counselling and psychotherapy? 

    Counselling is a process in which the counsellor helps and assists a person in dealing with their emotional, psychological and behavioural issues and to make desired changes in their lives.
    Psychotherapy is a therapy in which the therapist helps a person to discover their true self, understand and brace it. It helps to identify the root cause and resolution of their issues to enable him to have a pleasant relationship with themselves and others

  • What to expect at the initial session?

    At the initial stages, the therapist and the client work together to cultivate a comfortable environment suitable for honest discussions.
    The therapists try to know the client and what brings him there. He also tries to design an approach that might suit best to his client and serves as the base for future sessions.

  • How long does one session last?

    An individual session typically lasts between 60 minutes to 75 minutes.

  • Is counselling or psychotherapy suitable for me? 

    It is a very subjective question.
    Generally, everybody needs a therapy session to ensure their mental wellness and everybody should.

  • Is hypnotherapy dangerous? 

    If performed under expert supervision, hypnotherapy is completely safe.
    It is only a relaxing technique that helps you to be calm and in control. It cannot make you do something that you do not want to do.

  • What is a therapeutic relationship? 

    A therapeutic relationship is a relationship of a speaker and a listener between a therapist and the client.
    It is a relationship in which a person can speak without any fears or concerns about passing their sensitive information to somebody and its consequences. And the therapist listens without judging or getting offended.

  • How many sessions will I need? 

    It depends on you and your issue. Some issues might be resolved with short-term therapy, while some might need long-term therapy.

  • How can counselling help? 

    A therapy helps clear out white noise and negativity around the issues to make a clearer picture of it. He then helps the client to make a better and informed decision and make his choice. He can also help the client to stick to that decision and act upon it.

  • Is counselling confidential?

    Absolutely yes. We strictly abide by the Data Protection Act and the ethical framework set out by the SAC (Singapore Association of Counsellors) and APAC (Association for Psychotherapist and Counsellors).
    The information is only passed on if there is a risk of some harm to you or others. The information is only passed to concerned authorities and only the specific part that indicates a potential threat.

  • Tele-Therapy:

    We also offer a teletherapy session for those who may not feel comfortable to come to our clinic or are unable to come. It is also useful for people who want to have therapy but are stationed overseas.
    Tele-therapy sessions are conducted through WhatsApp and Facebook and are kept completely private and confidential.
